We’re Roxana and Baptiste — two people whose lives unfolded across borders.
We left cities, found new ones, learned new languages, changed careers, rebuilt friendships, and slowly realized something many feel but rarely say:You become a little foreign in your old home.
And in your new one, you sometimes still feel like a visitor.That feeling followed us quietly for years — always there, always in the background.And it became especially clear when we moved to Romania.
Our apartment was still filled with unpacked boxes.
The kitchen table became our desk.
A laptop was our entire workspace.
The room smelled like a fresh beginning mixed with the soft uncertainty of starting over.And right there — at that kitchen table, surrounded by half-open cartons and a blend of homesickness and hope — the idea for GetRoomzy was born.Not as a business.
Not as a “project.”
But because we needed something we couldn’t find anywhere:
A piece of art that brought our two worlds together.
The place we came from.
And the place where our new life had started.


Why We Exist
